Kashma Raju I waited till my daughter was 3 years old before piercing her ears… In hindsight I would have done it when she was 1. Tips for the moms: Remember to get someone that has 2 ear-piercing guns so that both ears can be done at the same time.

Brigitta Ellis-Nel No. Personally I would not put my child through that, even if its only a few seconds. Its still inflicting pain and making them cry all in the name of making them look cute. At the end of the day it’s my daughters body so her choice – not mine to make! If my daughter comes to me and asks me to take her to have it done I will, but it must be her decision.

Danielle Hough No! It’s a personal choice, but why can’t babies be babies and children be children? Let them decide if they want holes in their ears when they are old enough. Being a parent does not give you the right to go around piercing holes on them, just to make them pretty. There is enough time for that when they are older. Lets leave them innocent for as long as possible.

Jacki Dorey Jacobs I lean towards no (although I only have a boy). I think when she’s old enough to choose to have it done she can. My mom only let me do mine when I was 10.

Nicole Sarupen Its really not worth it to make a little baby suffer that pain just so that they look pretty to others or for photographs etc. My little girl was 5 last year when she asked for earrings. Please wait til they can decide that for themselves, they will appreciate you even more for it

Ursula Young Why on earth would I want to shoot holes into my daughters’ ears!!!! Why should a baby or toddler have earrings??? And the fact that some moms “soothed” them while their ears were being pierced!! COME ON!! Until they fully understand what it involves I say no.

Wendy Tesnaar No…… Your child should make that choice on there own……

Janice Roode Absolutely not ! Poor girls have no choice in the matter, and have no idea why their ears are in pain. Also I believe in choices. When my daughter is older she can choose if she wants her ears pierced!!

Elizabeth Pullon No no! It’s their body and should be their decision. My ears where pierced as a baby and around the age of 7 my earring got caught on my cousins Jersey and ripped right through my ear. I have had it fixed surgically 3 times and it still isn’t right. I would never do that to my girls, if they are old enough to look after them then by all means, but definately not as a baby.

Merrilynn Armstrong Rouse I had my little girl’s ears done when she was 1. She didnt cry or even flinch. The ladies did both her ears at the same time & with high quality studs. We didnt go the cheap route, as I did not want her to get infections from cheap low grade jewelry. Cleaning was a breeze, she never even knew they were there. Today at 4 she is very proud of her pretty earrings.

Lorrel Singh Jenna , the pharmacy applied the ointment before they pierced
Like · Reply · Yesterday at 10:54am via mobile

Lorrel Singh I did, wen she was 2. She was old enough to know what an earring and a piercing was. She asked me for it. The pain lasted all of 2seconds. And as Kashma said, get someone or better yet two ppl can that can pierce simultaneously. They only endure the pain once. Shes now 3.5 and has no issues. In the indian culture it is more common amongst babies/young girls.

Esmari Jacobs Did my lg when she was 6months
Like · Reply · Yesterday at 10:49am via mobile

Jennifer St. Jude Hmmm I’m not sure. They pull on them and have those spitty hands. Grin. I waited until i could explain what I was proposing to my girls. When they agreed we did it. They were 3&5. I was 5 when i had my done and felt a bit young. It was a bit traumatic but that was the old days where my stupid parent made me go into this booth alone.
I held my little girls in my lap and reassured them. So that’s my story.
