The Natural Way

Herbs have been used in traditional medicine for thousands of years to increase fertility and to treat conditions which prevent couples from conceiving. There is, therefore, a large body of traditional evidence to support the effectiveness of certain herbs in treating infertility and promoting successful conception and pregnancy. In recent times, many of these herbs have been subject to research trials and their effectiveness has been clinically supported.

About Infertility

Millions of couples are affected by infertility. Many undergo months or even years of expensive and frustrating fertility treatment without positive results. While some causes of infertility can only be corrected by surgery, herbal remedies have been used successfully for thousands of years in traditional medicine in order to increase fertility and improve the functioning of the male and female reproductive systems. Feelgood Health, together with experts in the field, has formulated herbal fertility tonics for men and women. Fertile XX (fertility tonic for women) and Fertile XY (fertility tonic for men) contain carefully selected herbs to promote reproductive health, increase sperm production, regulate ovulation and improve overall systemic health, without the negative side effects of prescription drugs and conventional infertility treatments.

Phyto-therapy (herbal therapy) has assisted many couples to have the baby that they long for. When treating infertility using herbal fertility tonics, the remedies should be taken by both the man and the woman for maximum results.

Male Fertility: How does it work?

Sperm are produced in the seminiferous tubules in the testes, which are also responsible for the production of testosterone, a male sex hormone, essential for male sexual functioning and fertility, amongst other things. The process of sperm production, from the formation of germ cells, to fully mature sperm cells, takes about 70 days. When sperm development is complete, sperm are released from the seminiferous tubules and travel to the epididymis, where they become more mature and mobile. Sperm are stored in the epididymis until ejaculation, when contractions push a small amount of sperm into the vas deferens, through the prostate gland and into the urethra. As the sperm travels down the reproductive tract, fluid is added by the prostate gland and seminal vesicles to produce semen. More than 90% of the ejaculatory fluid is produced by the prostate gland and seminal vesicles, which is why men who have had a vasectomy can still ejaculate normally.

In order for a man to be fertile, he needs to produce mature, healthy and mobile sperm in sufficient quantities to ensure the fertilisation of the female egg. Ability to achieve and sustain an erection for long enough to ejaculate and deposit the sperm in the female reproductive tract is also important for natural conception. Although there may be many causes of male infertility (genetic causes, infection, heat, tobacco, drug and alcohol abuse, sperm antibodies, inadequate testosterone production, poor nutrition, stress, scarring of the reproductive tract, some prescription drugs, pesticides and other chemicals and even hormones in meat and the food chain), no cause can be found in approximately 40% of men with fertility problems. This is called idiopathic infertility.

How does Fertile XY help couples to fall pregnant?

No medicine, including herbal medicine, can help if there are structural problems that affect infertility or when infertility is due to serious genetic problems. It is therefore important to consult your doctor in order to find out what is preventing pregnancy. This will ensure that you receive the correct treatment.

Where there are no structural or genetic causes of infertility, Fertile XX and Fertile XY can help to improve fertility and ensure that the male and female reproductive systems are in peak health in order to increase the chances of conceiving a baby. Some of the herbs can also correct hormone imbalances and increase sperm and testosterone production, as well as regulate the process of ovulation, promoting the production of healthy eggs. For those couples who are eager to conceive, using Fertile XX and Fertile XY will optimise reproductive health and promote easy and healthy conception. If you are struggling to conceive, Fertile XX and Fertile XY will help treat the problems that are making it difficult to fall pregnant, ensuring that all systems in the reproductive process are operating normally and therefore increasing the chances of falling pregnant.

Fertile XY (for men) contains the following fertility-enhancing herbs:

  • Epimedium grandiflorum – also known as Yin Yang Huo or Horny Goat Weed, is a powerful remedy in Traditional Chinese Medicine and has been used for thousands of years to promote male potency and as an aphrodisiac. Recent research has confirmed that Yin Yang Huo can increase sperm production and stimulate sexual desire.
  • Centella Asiatica – also known as Gotu Cola, is well known in Ayurvedic (Indian) and African Traditional Medicine and has a wide range of beneficial effects. Regular use helps to strengthen connective tissue and the cells in the walls of blood vessels, including the seminiferous tubules which manufacture sperm. Improved circulation due to the use of Gotu Cola will ensure adequate blood supply and nutrition to the male organs and also helps to strengthen erections and sexual desire.
  • Tribulus Terrestris – also known as Gokshura, is another important Ayurvedic remedy, which is an excellent tonic for the reproductive system. Gokshura has been used in Ayurvedic Medicine for thousands of years as a tonic for the reproductive system, to enhance the health of reproductive organs and to treat infertility. It is also beneficial in the treatment of stress (which can interfere with fertility) due to its calming effect on the nervous system.
NOTE: Using Fertile XX and Fertile XY together can optimise male and female reproductive health and increase the chances of healthy conception.

How do I use Fertile XY?

Fertile XY is a concentrated tincture which comes in convenient drop form. The therapeutic dose is 15 – 20 drops in a little water or juice, three times a day.

Can I use Fertile XY with conventional fertility treatment?

If you are undergoing conventional fertility treatment, it is always advisable to inform your doctor that you are taking a herbal fertility tonic.

How long until I see results?

This is a difficult question to answer and of course, everyone who wants a baby wants quick results! Remember that instead of artificially stimulating ovulation and sperm production (which has risks of multiple births and other problems), natural remedies help your body to optimise reproductive health, balance hormones responsible for reproduction and sexual health and improve overall systemic functioning. Depending on many factors, this may take a few months and even up to a year or longer. Of course, babies also have a way of coming when they feel they are ready, so this is another factor to be taken into consideration!

How long will a bottle last?

One bottle lasts approximately one month.
