- Dry erase markers
- Paper towel or towel
The set up for this activity couldn’t be easier: I took a dry erase marker and covered our sliding glass door in alphabet letters.
Making this activity into a game
I gave my three year old and folded paper towel and explained the game.
“I’m going to call out a letter – you need to find it and erase it!”
He thought it was amazing! He loved the hunt of trying to find the letters and the fun of erasing them.
I use this activity at dinner time
I love this activity as a “dinner time prep” activity. I can quickly throw up some letters onto the window and call out names while I’m cooking. Keeps my toddler son occupied, out of the kitchen, and busy while I get things going.
My three year old loves this activity and so does his 22 month old sister. She loves this activity as a cleaning activity. She’s not so sure about the letters on the window but she sure knows how to clean them.
This is a GREAT activity for young toddlers – consider just covering the window with shapes, lines, and squiggles for them to erase. It doesn’t always have to be erase the ABCs.
