Regular baby walkers are actually vehicles with leg holes and wheels that you place your baby into – typically these have a swing set or basketlike design with holes for the feet.
Push walkers on the other hand require that your baby stand up with no assistance (no seating or surrounding protection) and then grip a handle to move a push walker forward with their body weight. Push walkers are great for developing the muscles in your toddlers’ legs, arms, and especially core muscles essential to good posture and movement.
Older toddlers typically do best on push walkers and younger babies (under 5-6 months) do best on seated walkers.
