Tips for a Delicious Caprese Salad
- Choose ripe tomatoes: Look for tomatoes with vibrant colour and a slight give when pressed.
- High-quality mozzarella: Fresh mozzarella (like buffalo mozzarella) has a soft texture and delicate flavour that complements ripe tomatoes.
- Extra fresh basil: Use leaves that are bright green and aromatic.
- Temperature matters: Allow ingredients to come to room temperature before assembling for optimal taste.
